Born on June 30th, 1988, on the South Shore of Montreal into a large family, Stéphanie Boulay learns from a tender age the value of mutual support and hard work.
After high school, she completes a dental secretarial program, but since there are no job opportunities in this field, she accepts an offer to work as a legal secretary, which she does for 3 years.
In 2013, after working for a major retail brand where she acquires some accounting experience and customer service skills, Ms. Boulay decides to use her entrepreneurial ingenuity and start her own business. She launches the Institut de Beauté Stéphanie, a beauty company specializing in body treatments, located in the Laurentians. A victim of her own success from year one, she soon has to double the size of her institute in order to offer beauty treatments that are better tailored to the demands of her increasingly growing customer base.
In 2016, Ms. Boulay retains the services of Montreal-based, a digital marketing agency, to redesign the company’s brand image. That same year, she is also selected as a finalist in the Gala d’excellence Desjardins for her web innovations.
During the summer of 2017, Ms. Boulay designs an innovative concept – the waterfront boutique Stéphanie B. launched at the Montreal Yacht Club the following summer. The sophisticated mobile station offers exclusive beauty treatments, and is also available for private parties, corporate events, Christmas markets or weddings. The partnership with the yacht club turns out to be an important element for building the brand’s awareness.
In 2018, Ms. Boulay launches a new range of beauty products for women and men. Produced entirely in Quebec with 100% natural ingredients, the high-end line is gradually rolled-out in pharmacies. The company is now known as STÉPHANIE B.: Beauté-Balnéaire-Boutique and has become a reference in the field of body care throughout Quebec.
